Parent – Child Class: Exploring Mindfulness Together (Ages 8 -12)
All eight sessions of this class are free!!
What will I get in the first class?
- A Mind Jar!
- This is a tool you will make with your child that will help your child learn to calm down and focus.
- A chance to do a fun activity with your child: Mindful Eating!
How will the class help you and your child?
- Your child will learn how to focus and manage difficult emotions.
- You’ll know what to do during meltdowns.
- It will improve your relationship with your child.
In my 30+ years of teaching and researching mindfulness for children, I know that the kids who make the most progress are those whose parents practice with them.

Note: We require a minimum of 5 students per class. After 5 parents have registered for this class (see link below), you will be contacted about where/when the class will be.

This interactive eight-week program has been developed by Dr. Julia Keller, a psychologist with over 30 years of experience practicing and teaching mindfulness to children and teaching/researching interventions for children with learning disabilities. She is also the author of Mindful Interventions in Special Education.
This is an eight-week in-person class. Each class session is one hour in duration.
