In one mindfulness study (Keller et al., 2017), receptive kids practiced mindfulness more than resistant kids. After the end of the study, their classroom teacher rated how often students had practiced mindfulness breathing during class, from 1 to 4 (1 = very little or never, 2 = sometimes,3= most of the time,4= always or almost always). Students who were rated as a “3” or a “4” are referred to as the Receptive Kids (practiced more frequently) group. Students who were rated by the teacher as a “1” or a “2” are referred to as the Resistant Kids (practiced very little or only sometimes).
